Kathyrn's Holiday Program

Kathryn had her first holiday program at school on Wednesday. It was very cute to watch 25+ 2 year olds attempt to stay together and dance/clap for two songs. It didn't seem to bother Kathryn at all to dance in front of a crowd.

This is what her teacher told me when I dropped her off Tuesday morning: "If she is anything like she was when we rehearsed last week, she loves being on stage."
(*This isn't the best video, but you'll get the idea...and the other kids are pretty entertaining too.)

She also had her first visit with Santa Claus. She was a little apprehensive at first, but once he started talking to her, she warmed up, just a little bit.

Again with the Puddles

With all of the rain we have been getting, the rain puddle at the end of our driveway has become a permanent fixture outside of our house. Today was the first day in a while that we've been able to get outside and play. Kathryn was still in her pajamas while I pulled weeds out of the flower beds and she made her way over the infamous puddle with a couple neighborhood kids. Jack and Sophia jumped a couple of times and moved on to play with something else....Kathryn decided to stay a while and this is what she did....

Her nice white w/flower pajamas are now a nice shade of gray. From time to time, she'd come over to me and say "all wet" and pull at her diaper which was soaked. Good times at the Morphy house - too bad Caroline was at school, she really missed out.

Easter & Rain Puddles

Here are some shots from Easter morning:

One of the most fun things they got with their Easter basket was a sand box.

The Easter bunny also brought the girls rain boots. When it rains in our neighborhood, there is a puddle in the street that will last for days until the sun dries it out. Now that they have rain boots, we can play in the puddle and not worry about getting our shoes dirty.

The Hula

So I bought a hula hoop last weekend. Not really sure why - I think I got in my head it would be good exercise. It is, but much harder to do than you remember as a child. David gave it a whirl and I almost laugh myself to tears everytime I see him attempt it. I had to video record him so he could see how absolutely funny he looks.

Take Your Pet to School Day

Caroline had the opportunity to take a pet to school with her today. Since Abby can get a little freaked out by lots of little kids, we thought Sam would be a better option. As you can see from the video, Caroline was more concerned with showing out in front of the class than showcasing Sam.

Learning to Ride Our Tricycle

After several months, Caroline has finally showed some interest in learning to ride her tricycle. Not only would this be great muscle building for her legs, but would also get us one step closer to getting her a bike. It was dusk when we recorded this, so it might be a bit dark.
